Diversified Ag Tour 2011

FCIDC recently sponsored a Diversified Ag Tour, visiting the Boston Post Dairy, Does' Leap, Flack Family Farm, and Maplewood Organics. 

Boston Post Dairy
Owned operated by Robert and Gisele Gervais and their four daughters Anne, Theresa, Susan and Annette, the Boston Post Dairy, located in Enosburg Falls, consists of 60 dairy goats and 70 dairy cows, a cheese making facility and retail store.

They sell their own products including cheeses, goat milk soap, maple products, and baked goods as well as Vermont made products from producers all over the state.

Does' Leap
Located in East Fairfield, VT, Doesí Leap is an innovative, diversified organic farm specializing in a variety of fresh and aged goat cheeses. They also raise organic beef, pork, and chicken.

Flack Family Farm
A biodynamic farm using organic practices, Flack Family Farm, located in Enosburg Falls, raises organic vegetables, several of which they ferment (ie: sauerkraut), as well as grass-fed cows, and organic milk and eggs.

They offer educational opportunities, farm visits, and seminars on nutrition, growing and preparing nutrient dense food, diversified farming and fermentation.  

Maplewood Organics
Located in Highgate, Vermont, Maplewood Organics is a family-owned 300-acre certified organic farm is home to Eric and Hannah NoŽlís Galloway beef herd and vegetable CSA.
