Engergizer Plant Visit 5-23-11

VT Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Economic Development Deputy Secretary, Patricia Moulton-Powden, recently accompanied FCIDC Executive Director, Tim Smith, on a site visit to Energizer in St.Albans, VT. 

Deputy Secretary Moulton-Powden discussed the Jobs Bill; Stem Bonus; Job Training; VEGI Program; and Healthcare.              

The St. Albans Energizer facility was constructed in 1947 on Swanton Road. The plant operations are divided between production of flashlights and lithium batteries.  Energizer Battery is a leading manufacturer of lithium batteries in the world of which the Saint Albans facility is an integral part.

Energizer Battery provides high quality, manufacturing based employment for 214 full time, contracted employees, and 50-60 temporary employees.
